Travel Information

Getting to Nepal

Nepal is accessible via Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, with direct flights from major cities worldwide. We provide airport pickup services for all our guests.

Accommodation

We arrange comfortable accommodations ranging from luxury hotels in cities to cozy teahouses during treks, ensuring your comfort throughout your journey.

Meals & Dietary Requirements

We cater to all dietary preferences including vegetarian, vegan, and special dietary needs. Fresh, nutritious meals are provided throughout your adventure.

Communication

WiFi is available in most hotels and teahouses. We provide local SIM cards for better connectivity during your stay in Nepal.

Best Trekking Seasons

Spring (March - May)

Best Season

Perfect weather with clear skies, blooming rhododendrons, and excellent mountain views. Ideal for all trekking routes.

Autumn (September - November)

Best Season

Post-monsoon clarity offers the clearest mountain views. Cool temperatures and stable weather conditions.

Winter (December - February)

Good Season

Cold but clear weather. Lower altitude treks are excellent, while high altitude routes may have snow.

Summer/Monsoon (June - August)

Limited Season

Heavy rainfall in most areas, but some regions like Upper Mustang, Dolpo, and certain parts of the Annapurna Circuit offer excellent trekking opportunities with fewer crowds and lush green landscapes.

Required Documents

Passport & Visa

Valid passport with at least 6 months remaining. Tourist visa available on arrival or online. We assist with visa processing.

Trekking Permits

TIMS (Trekkers' Information Management System) card and National Park permits. We handle all permit applications.

Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance covering high altitude trekking (up to 6000m) and emergency evacuation is mandatory.

Medical Certificates

Health certificate may be required for high altitude treks. We provide guidance on medical requirements.

Photos

Passport-sized photos for permits and documents. We can arrange photo services if needed.

Currency & Payments

Nepalese Rupee (NPR) is the local currency. ATMs available in major cities. Credit cards accepted in hotels and restaurants.

Language

Nepali is the official language, but English is widely spoken in tourist areas. Our guides are fluent in English.

Time Zone

Nepal is 5 hours 45 minutes ahead of GMT (NPT - Nepal Time). No daylight saving time observed.

Electricity

220V, 50Hz. Type C and D plugs. Power cuts are common, so bring portable chargers.

Tipping

Tipping is customary. 10-15% in restaurants, $5-10 per day for guides and porters.
